General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

First of all please tell me which surgical procedure you had. Ringing in the ear can be due to other causes also like the common cold or internal ear problems like otosclerosis, neurological disorder.

Head and neck injury can also cause tinnitus. However, we have to rule out other causes as well. You should consult an ENT specialist to find out the exact cause.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Hiren Hirpara
