What Causes Neck Pain Radiating To The Jaws Along With Headaches?

I have hx of high BP, throid disease, 3rd stage of kidney disease, chronic severe headache, just to name a few healh probime. About a yr. ago, naybe even before that, I began having pain in the front of my neck, whiich spread to enclude pain under both jaw lines. About 6 months ago, pain spread to under my ear & ear, not long after that I developed a swollen area on side of my neck, between my ear & back of nect. That swollen are is strill preset today. Also the pain has spread to back of my neck & up the back of my head, with pain when I turn my head. I have been trying to make sense of all of this, hoping to find the cause, please tell me if I have grounds for concern, what I should do next, or just simply not to worry about it. One last thing, In the early deveiplment of my symptoms, I began having a dry cough, not present at all times, but spells where I couldn t get it to stop or subside. I had no other signs & sypmtoms to make me think the coughing was beccause of a cold, none, still having the recurring cough at times. Thank you for your help. dkp

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hi,

Blood pressure can cause this so a can a cervical disc problem. You should have an MRI of the brain and cervical spine and then accordingly we can decide how to proceed further.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshita, Ophthalmologist
