What Causes Neck Stiffness And Sensitivity On Face While Suffering From Ear Infection?

Hello, my husband was diagnosed with an ear infection. Presently, he is experiencing neck stiffness, senstivity on the right side of his head/jaw, under the skin bumps on the side of his face as well as pimple looking bumps all over his neck. All these symptoms are appearing on the side where he has the ear infection. We are concerned about these bumps on his neck and the larger ones under the skin, does this sound like anything serious or related to the ear infection? Thank you.

thank you for asking your concern. after reading all the findings you mentioned i would suggest you to consult your physician or ENT specialist as early as possible. neck stiffness and sensation over face is not common in any ear infection. it seems it has spreaded. the pimple looking bumps you mentioned seems herpes zoster (shigles). if it is there then it will be good to start treatment within 72 hrs. i would suggest you to consult your physician as in such situations diabetes has to be screened.
