Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my brother age 38 he is businessman ,for a week he speaking negative and unwanted fear his eyes looks most of the time floor and silent and we consult one doctor he prescribe quietipine 50mg ,ciplar 20, nortriptyline he takes three days treatment first two days he is drowsy and sleep well ,but now he not sleep well and calm
He is 38 years old and is having negative thoughts, unwanted fear in there in his eyes. He has started remaining silent and don't interact much with others. He has been advised to take Qutiapine 50, Propranolol 20 and Nortryptiline for these problems. See Qutiapine is an antipsychotic medicine and it causes significant sedation. The drug helps in good sleep but he slept well for two days but didnt sleep properly after that. As per my opinion wait for at least a week and if sleep doesnt improve after that visit his psychiatrist again. For some time medicines like Zolpidem, Zopiclone etc can be used for poor sleep. These drugs will help in good sleep and will improve his condition. These drugs should be taken on SOS basis only. Consult a psychiatrist for proper treatment and prescription.
Thanks, hope this helps you.
