What Causes Nerve Damage, Inability To Walk And Enterococcus After Hip Replacement?

My husband had both hips replaced in 2012 1 in May the other in June. In May of 2014 he got an enterococcus infection in his right hip even though he had never been sick, hip was removed for 8 wks and then replaced in August since then he has developed nerve damage and is unable to walk without a walker, is there anything you think you may be able to do for this problem?
