Hello and welcome to HCM,
The
radiation of pain from hip to heels can be due to
sciatica.
Sciatica is caused by compression of
sciatic nerve.
Sciatic nerve runs from lower pelvis in the hip compartment to thigh to leg and its breaks down into branches before entering the foot.
Compression of sciatic nerve leads to pain in lower back going into back of thigh, front of leg and then to heel.
The symptoms described by you are suggestive of sciatica.
The
injury to the back is probably responsible for the pain.
Tearing of ligament and muscle can lead to localized pain but not this kind of pain radiating to leg and then foot.
I suggest you to consult an orthopedician for clinical assessment, relevant investigations like
MRI of spine for confirming the involvement of sciatic nerve.
Management can be planned thereafter.
Thanks and take care
