What Causes Neuropathic Itchiness And Numbness In My Face?

I have had a large prolactinoma for about 45-50 years. I began taking cabergoline a couple months ago because I was experiencing neuropathic itch and numbness in my face and no doctor could find another cause. So we decided shrinking the prolactinoma is the best bet. Indeed, my prolactin levels are now normal for the first time in 45-50 years. However, I am experiencing intense fluctuations in body temperature, especially intense and frequent hot flashes that are quite exhausting and at times debilitating. I don t understand this. I have had low estrogen levels most of my life due to the prolactinoma. Is this normal and what can I do?

Hi,

Estrogen levels can cause temperature fluctuations so I think that may be the cause.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
