Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Night Sweats Along With Swollen Lymph Nodes?
My son was admitted into the hospital Monday night because he has an elevated white blood cell count, night sweats (drenching to have to change clothes and bed sheets) chills, and a loss of weight of 20 pounds in less than a month. All the lymph nodes in his abdomen are enlarged so they took a biopsy through his stomach wall to look at the node. He was let of out the hospital Thursday afternoon and since then has lost an additional 6 pounds in two days. And the cold clammy sweats are continuing. I am concerned since I live 5 hours away. I was in the hospital with him while they were looking for his answers. He does not have HIV or Hepatitis. Should he go back to the hospital? He is still very fatigued and sick.
