What Causes Night Sweats And A Itchy Spot On The Chest During Menopause?

I believe i am in the early stages of pre menopause.. I am 44.. I am having severe sweats at night and now here and there during the day.. Ever since this began about 6 months ago... I notice a red rash under my breast and a dry itchy spot right in the center of my chest and dry scalp.. The rash gets bad then almost clears.. i ve used medicated powder, cream, and now vinegar ,.. some help for the moment but it s not clearing up..Is there anything else I can do besides prescibed medications.. (not a fan)

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The red rash under the breast and itchy rash on the chest and scalp may be due to fungal infection.

Using an antifungal powder such as miconazole, under the breasts and an antifungal cream for elsewhere may be helpful in treating these rashes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
