What Causes Night Sweats And Abdominal Bloating?

I am 53 woman. 152 lbs. a year ago I was 10lbs lighter. Exercise 5-6 a week. Have been eating under 1300 calories a week for 2 months. I drink over 90 ounces of water a day. Adding benefiber to water and morning plain yogurt. I eat mainly fruits and vegetables with proteins of fish or grilled chicken. I drink 4-6 glasses of wine a week. No soda. One cup of coffee a day. And unable to have normal bowel movements for over a year. I had my check up. All blood work was normal. Low cholesterol and I don t take any medications. The last 4 months I have night sweats. I am so bloated and so filled with gas but no cramps. No blood or any loose stools either. It s just gone- that feeling to regularly go. I use to go every day with my coffee and plain yogurt and chopped pear or raspberries. My doctor said its normal with age but this is ridiculous. Help!!!!

Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.
Certain degree of bloating is normal but in case of excessive bloating it may be sign of food allergy, hiatal hernia ,IBS or inflammatory bowel diseases.
So you should do gastroenterologic work up but first try to change your dietary habits, it means: eat smaller meals but more frequently, avoid fried and spicy food, take menta tea, avoid alcohol and coffee, eat probiotics and milk products, boiled food and vegetables.
Also, there are medications such as Flobian,Magnesium oxide or certain Laxatives which may relieve such symptoms of this continue. If there wont be improvement on these measures, you should consider doing diagnostic tests such as colonoscopy, anal sphincter manometry and food allergy testing.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
