What Causes Night Sweats, Severe Fatigue, Loss Of Appetite And Nausea?

Hi, I am a 32 year old male who is experiencing a myriad of symptoms. My main concern is stomach pains that started in the RLQ almost like a pulling sensation. The pain spread to all along the ribcage and eventually the shoulder blade. It also feels like someone has hit me in my jaw for the last couple weeks. I have night sweats, severe fatigue, and don t want to eat anything as there is discomfort and nausea. I went to the ER after the flank pain got bad and they did a CT and blood work which all came back normal. They don t believe my jaw pain or random nose bleeds are related. I have been referred to a GI doctor, but have to wait 3 weeks. I am worried that there is something they are missing. Please help

Hello,

You are suffering from loss of appetite, nausea, Pain in the stomach radiating to ribcage, shoulder blade and jaws. Presently, you feel severe fatigue and also have night sweats. You have not given any details of your past illness, eg, diabetic, hypertensive, etc. However, your symptoms of night sweats, fatigue, shoulder blade pain and jaw pain may be indicative of medical conditions like anxiety disorder, low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), developing CAD, stroke, it may be due to the side effects of certain medications that you have been taking and have not mentioned here, opioid or alcohol use disorder, etc.

It may be indicative of acid reflux, gallstones, peptic ulcer, liver dysfunction , etc. You are suggested to stay away from addictions if any. You are very young, be gentle with yourself. Since you are having stomach discomfort and nausea avoid taking fried food, oily food, packaged food, trans fat, full fat dairy products, red meat, etc. Prefer to take boiled fresh food, you can add a dash of olive oil. You can take food cooked in little olive oil. Give a little relief to your liver and stomach.

Take well cooked cereals, veggies, fruits and berries. Do regular walking, avoid sedentary lifestyle. Take break from work to make yourself comfortable. take boiled water after cooling it. You can take Pantoprazole or ranitidine, one SOS to get relief from pain/discomfort due to acid reflux / gastritis. Take adequate water, avoid constipation. Maintain healthy weight, limit salt intake if hypertensive.

Control blood glucose level and blood pressure naturally or by taking medicines. Get clinically examined by a cardiologist, get lipid function tests, imaging tests and other routine cardiac tests to rule out any developing CAD. Get a general health check up and all required investigations done to detect the pathology causing you discomfort. You will be treated accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
