What Causes Night Sweats While On Cymbalta?

I ve been on Celexa for several years. My rheumatologist started me on Cymbalta about 2 months ago. I am having horrible night sweats and then also have chills. The Cymbalta was started for fibromyalgia and I am pain free now. But I feel terrible with anxiety, headaches plus the chills and night sweats. I just stopped the Celexa a few days ago but still have all these problems. What do I need to do? Dosage of Cymbalta is 60 mg. Should I try to decrease the Cymbalta to 30 mg or what??

FIRST OFF - You should never decrease medications on your own.
Looking at your basic medical history and medicines you stated, as much as I don't like to reccomend it, I would reccomend a small Benzodiazapine, such as Diazepam, Clonazepam or Nitrazepam (not sure of the names in your country, as the brand names are different) Those are the chemical names.

I think with your condition, ESPECIALLY being PAIN FREE - YOU NEED TO STAY WITH THE 60mg Cymbalta, however talk to your doctor about 0.5mg to 1.0mg of CLONAZEPAM a day (maximum dose at a time is usually 2.0mg per pill) However ATIVAN (Lorazepam) is a FAST ACTING UNDER SUBLINGUAL tablet from 0.25mg to 2mg tablets, that have a short effect, but help anxiety and other problems.

"Benzos" as typically called, can also help pain control with other medications.

Talk to your doctor - That is my only reccomendation at this time as I do not have even CLOSE to a full medical history - But it sounds like a "Benzo" of low dose would do you well.

I would personally reccomend 0.5mg Lorazepam PRN (as needed) up to 3 times a day)
