Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had a hysterectomy at 40... ovaries were left & a year later. the Left ovary entangled in 5 layers of intestines & was removed. A couple years later (2-6yrs) I was tightening inside, which was confirmed by Dr needing smaller instruments to do exam. I was diagnosed after a blood test of hormone levels & told they re gone referring to my hormones & that my body was registering 60-70 yrs old. I had night sweats years ago ---- was on hormones & I can t take any hormones due to breast tissue change and mom had breast cancer. All was fine with sweats gone for years. NOW: for past few months I ve had night sweats that actually get the sheets wet & night gown waking me up. I ve been putting up with it but it seems to be getting worse & affecting my sleep (even though I take Trazadone 50mg) at lunch I talked to a friend 5-10 yrs older than me to get her opinion. How could night sweats happen with no hormones She suggested there can be other glands contributing and to call for doctor apptm. I have a main Dr. don t need referrals and wonder if I should see endroconologist. Other symptoms are increased tired- draggy feeling and eating but not much appetite. What are your thoughts on possible causes?
If this is just sweating problem in the night then this is not the big problem this is normal phenomenon if does not have any associate symptoms most of the time some functional elements plays the role behind this, better get done the hemoglobin test, for the thyroid one need to get done the test for this.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
