General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You are having post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and also anxiety which is related to it.

PTSD generally happens within 3 months of a stressful event and causes patients to have flashbacks, nightmares, anxiety, etc.

Psychotherapy (talk-therapy) may help the patient express their fears and address them.
Also, drugs such as SSRI (sertraline or escitalopram) may be used to help control anxiety.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj
