What Causes Nightmares While On Metoprolol Succinate?
My husband was placed on metoprolol succinctness in October 2016. This past week he has been having nightmares and calls out in his sleep.he is also extremely tired,all this one half a tablet.12.5. Dr is in NJ .we live In Pa. as aa retired OR nurse I am concerned. He just had a vivid nighmare.

Generally, Metoprolol intake doesn't cause nightmares as a side effect.
Considering the fact that he is extremely tired, and has nightmares, in my opinion, he should consult a doctor, for a blood pressure measurement and further examinations to put the right diagnosis.
