What Causes Nipple Soreness In Diabetic Neuropathy?
I have been having soreness in both nipples for a week now. It hurts if something presses up against them like my bra or lying on my stomach. They both feel heavy at times, mainly at night. I have noticed my right breast looks larger than the left. I have been also having mild chest pains at night with tingling in my left arm. It is eased when I lie on my right side. I have been extremely tired. I am diabetic, I have diabetic neuropathy. I was thinking it was just nerve pain affecting my nipples but my nerve pain meds, meloxicam and gabapentin, don t help the soreness in my nipples
First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, you need to get yourself examined by a gynecologist or a breast surgeon to rule out any lumps or bumps and also detailed surrounding lymph nodes examination.
Sometimes nipples infection with diabetes can present like this and these symptoms may not be related to diabetic neuropathy at all. Ultrasound breasts may also be needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin,
