Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What causes lung nodules? My 39 yr old, Type I diabetic daughter had a CT scan and they found lung nodules back in September. The doctors did another CT scan 2 days ago and said some of the nodules she had are gone but there some new ones. Drs are saying they believe they are caused by infection but we are not sure what that means and why they are coming and going????
Most probably it will be an old and healed infection. Consult a pulmonologist and get evaluated. Most probably these are not active disease condition and no treatment required either.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
