What Causes Non-weeping Eruptions That Itch On The Hairline, Upper Chest And Back?
71 yo white male, immune suppressed because i am on Jakafi for myliofibrosis. I have had a skin rash for about 5 months. The rash has been small unclustered non-weeping and limited to the hairline and my upper chest. Recently the number or eruptions has increased significantly and is now on my back. They itch in the evening or when i am extra tired or sweaty. I have been applying applying Triamcinolone Acetonide to the rash area with some relief. Two days ago a very hive like outbreak appeared on my inside elbows on both arms. I have been treating that with an aloe gel with moderate success. Both my hemotologist and dermatologist were not able to come up with diagnosis 5 mos ago. I am planning on seeing them soon and wanted to have some possible suggestions in hand. Any ideas?
As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.
