What Causes Nose Bleed And Right Thigh Pain After Having Blood Clot In Lung?
My husband has cancer and has had a blood clot in the lung in the past. He was on lovenox but came off due to a change of chemo treatment. He was put back on it a week ago Friday and taken off this past Friday due to nose bleeds. He is experiencing right thigh pain today which is getting worse. Could this be a blood clot?
hi thank you for asking your concern. if the clot is anywhere inside the body that can be transfered to any other part through blood vessels. if your husband was put on blood thinner drugs then bleeding through nose is the complication of blood thinners. i would suggest you to check his prothrombin time and INR , both are blood test which may be you aware of. durring the process of thinning , clots becomes smaller and can break and can dislodge to other parts and mostly lower limbs. if you husbands thigh is warmer, reddish, painful on pressing by you then there is likely chanse of clot in thigh. i would suggest to consult your physician regarding the new complaints. i hope i answered your query thank you and regards dr. abhijit
