What Causes Nose Bleeding With Swollen Legs And Ankles?
Yesterday morning I had a nose bleed. Later the clots came out when I blew my nose. Last night my ankles got very swollen. My legs and ankles are huge but my hands have very little swelling. Could this have anything to do with the clotting blood or just a coincidence?
I believe the nose bleed may have been simply caused by Nasonex I used the day before.
Steroidal nasal sprays will cause dryness of mucosa in nose and nasopharynx a lot. That may be one of the reason of nasal bleed. But The swelling in Ankles and legs are warning signs- you check your BP. The epistaxis in hypertensive patients who may not aware hey are hypertensives and not on medication will have the chance of recurrence. Consult your family physician .If you are on oral steroid stop that immediately. Take care
