Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi there... My nose has been bleeding everyday for the last week and half, ir so. It usually stops in a few minutes. It’s been extremely outside during this time, is it just the dry weather? Starting to wonder if anything else could be the cause? Thanks! Chris
The answer to your question is that nose has a rich blood supply so it bleeds easily and the reason for the bleeding is the dryness inside your nose. Dried nasal mucosa bleeds easily and so, yes the main reason is the dry weather.
I will advise to keep your nose moist inside. You can put few drops of olive oil inside your nose 2 to 3 times daily and it will certainly help keep your nasal mucosa moist and so no further bleeding.
You can also see a nearby physician if things do not improve although I am sure you'll be alright.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Prabhash Verma
