Hello,
Nose bleeding often occurs due to dry weather, dry weather causes crusting and when scratched causes nose bleed. Do not scratch. Avoid chemical irritants and cold air. Other medical conditions that may cause nose bleeds are upper
respiratory tract infection,
high blood pressure, bleeding disorders, etc. Use humidifier to feel better, use saline spray or gel to keep nasal passages moist. Limit the use of decongestants and antihistamines. Cold compress are effective.
Other medical conditions causing
nosebleeds may be trauma or injury like broken nose, fracture skull that may cause
internal bleeding. However, you are suggested to get clinically examined by an ENT to rule out sinus problems, allergies, cold, bleeding disorders, cancer, etc. You may have to get CT, PTT, CBC, X-ray, Endoscopy, etc. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected.
Cauterization is effective if there is frequent nose bleeds.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
