Hello,
Welcome to Health Care Magic.
Thanks for writing.
I am Dr.Saddiq-ul-Abidin. I have read your question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.
I am sorry to know what's been happening with your boyfriend lately. His history and symptoms are suggestive of
Ulnar nerve compression.
Little finger and the one next to it are supplied by Ulnar nerve and exaggerated symptoms most specifically in them suggest that the problem lies with the nerve.
In patients with
arthritis, joints are usually inflamed and they can inflame the tunnels through which the nerve passes, so in my opinion you boy friend due to his arthritis inflaming the surrounding structures, has got compression of nerves specifically the Ulnar nerves.
Inflammation can occur at two points mostly , near elbow and near wrist but needs proper evaluation by a doctor in order to confirm the point of compression.
Then decompression can be done according to the extent and point of compression. Ask your boyfriend to visit a doctor as soon as possible and also continue his medication rather religiously.
I hope this answered your question. If you have more queries I am happy to answer.Otherwise rate and close the discussion
Regrads.
