What Causes Numb Feeling On Left Side Of Pectoral Muscle?

After sitting on the edge of my chair practicing playing guitar for about 30 mins afterwards I stood up and within a few mins I get a strange cool numb feeling on the left side under my pectoral muscle. What would be causing this? Over the past few weeks my fingers and toes will go numb all of a sudden.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and thanks for writing.

I can understand your problem and will try to help you in the best way possible. The problem that you are suffering from can be due to various conditions like a nerve compression/Neurapraxia, Vitamin B12 deficiency causind demyelination or any neurological problems. You may require certain tests for your workup which may include a complete neurological examination, Vitamin B 12 levels, nerce conduction tests and other tests. I would suggest that you consult a doctor so that you may be investigated correctly and a management plan be formulated for you. In the mean time avoid any activity pr posture which may increase your problems and also consult a physiotherapist to start a physical therapy.

Hope it helps.

Regards
