Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi. ive had numby crampy feeling in both forearms and chest lately. its only happened 2-3 times. when it comes on, it almost paralyzes me, feels really weird, slightly intense....and I need to wait maybe 10 seconds for it to disapate. is this a sign of possibly something serious?
The possibilities are: 1. Cardiac problem - you need to get checked by cardiologist by doing ECG, treadmill test etc. 2. Gastroesophageal reflux disease - which can be treated with medications, dietary changes 3. Cervical vertebra related issues- for which X-ray of neck can be done - again treated by medication, exercises 4. Lung diseases - chest X-ray can be done for this I would suggest you to consult internal medicine (or general medicine, not GP), who can diagnose or if required refer you to concerned speciality.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Manuel C. See IV, Urologist
