Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Numbness And Pain In Forearm Along With Dizziness?
Today I was sitting in a library doing some work and a group of people surrounded me and my right arm started to go numb then had shooting pains in the forearm, then I started to feel light headed. At this point I thought it be best to leave the area and as soon as I did it all went away. I think I have anxiety, could this be related to that?
The pain and numbness in forearm with dizziness appearing after exposure to certain group of people with disappearance soon without any intervention indicates situational anxiety manifestations. Though it is of not much great impact, I would request to get better accustomed to deal with similar episode in future by
- Deep breathing exercises - YOGA - Avoidance of stress - Maintaining sound sleep of 7-8 hours - If required can take help from counselor for life style modifications
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
