What Causes Numbness And Pain In The Shoulder Radiating Towards Little Finger?

Yes, thank you, When my shoulder is in a certain place, I have numbing and tingling from my shoulder to my pinky finger.. Is this a pinched nerve, a cervical nerve , or a shoulder issue ?? Do I need a Dr to see me...? It only happens in certain positions, especially when I lay down at night..rising my arm over my head or pulling my shoulder back usually stops the tingling..

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a pinched nerve in the shoulder. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain. I also suggest to use cold compresses for local application. If the symptoms continue, you should consult a neurologist for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
