Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
On my left foot my three small toes feel numb, on the right foot my big toe n second toe feel like they r two sizes bigger then they r n hurt when I walk on it. I have been to four drs, they all say there is nothing wrong. I know there is something not right. My second nuckle on my right foot u can even see. Any thoughts on what is wrong.
Pain and numbness in toes can be due to different reasons like unnoticed injury, some underlying illness related to nerve supplying that area of the foot. Have you ever met with an accident where you fell on your back?
Are you diabetic? I would suggest you to see a neurologist and explain the symptoms to him. After doing a physical examination and with the related history he can guide you on management.
Your doctor will suggest you get some diagnostic tests done which might include nerve conduction test and some other tests as per the requirement.
Once he sees the results, he will be able to find out the underlying cause behind the complains. He will prescribe the necessary medicines for pain relief.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
