Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was diagnosed with CTS many years ago in my left first then my right. I have been coping with that fine for a long time wearing splints when it was acting up. it seems that i have slowly been either developing it worse, or something else and when i woke up last night with my left hand cramped up in a ball pain in my wrist and numbness and pain in my hand it kinda scared. I have had people tell me to be checked for Arthritis. I just now found me a new doctors office after my doctor retired, and i have had my regular physical tests and stuff but not seen a Doctor yet just the NP. I have nothing against her but i just wanted to look some info up and see what i should be doing especially after last night. Shouldn t i be seeing a regular Doctor to enquire about this? could this just be my carple Tunnel getting worse, or something else like arthritis?
