What Causes Numbness And Swelling In Kneecap After An Injury?

I fell about a week ago, on my left knee while on skates. It was a basic fall, almost knee slide. It swell like crazy and bruised a lot. I iced it and elevated it and now the swellings gone down on most of my my knee except the kneecap. On the kneecap its pretty numb and still swollen. Could this be BC of a more serious knee injury? Should I get it looked at by a doc?

No no. The tightness of kneecaps may be one cause. Otherwise other parts of legs would not be normal so early.

However if its very painful too, there is no harm in clearing doubts by meeting the doctor.

Hope it helps you.
