What Causes Numbness And Swelling On The Finger?
Hi, My right pointer finger started out feeling asleep and slightly numb, but tender earlier today. Then it looked like I bruised it. Now it seems to have spread down my finger, too. Wondering if I should soak it or put ice on it. It is not my fingernail, no hang nail or damage there. Also swollen. I don t remember hitting it on anythin. But I was at the stable today and noticed it when I was leaving . That was around 3 PM today.

Your symptoms seem to be related to a finger infection or paronychia.
I suggest using anti-inflammatory medication for the swelling and edema.
