Hi,I am experiencing a slight numbness and sometimes tingling feeling in my left arm only ..it is extremely mild and I would have experienced this feeling also 8 months ago .i also appear to have a sligh dry cough .i visited with my Gp 8 myths ago and she took blood samples ( checking for my vit b levels which all came back fine ,.i have no other symptoms or issues ,..What might be the cause of this ? Should I be overly concerned or should I visit my Gp again? Worried ....... Thanks you.
Numbness and tingling arm is often caused by peripheral nerve damage. There are many causes of peripheral nerve damage such as diabetes, chronic renal failure, leprosy, vertebral compression, vasculitis, shingles and hypothyroidism etc. Cause needs to be identified. There is a role of methylcobalamine in treatment of peripheral nerve damage caused by metabolic disorders. Advice 1. Investigations – blood sugar (fasting & postprandial) 2. Tablet methylcobalamin 500 mcg once daily per oral for 3 months Thanks
