What Causes Numbness And Tingling In The Arms And Legs?

I have had severe joint pain in all of my joints especially knucles and knees . Also have numbness and tingling in both the left and right side of my arms and legs but much strongrr on the right side and very strong in my right hand and fingers and right leg. My doctor thought i could have a virus and put me on docycyline and hydrocodone with tylenol. I still have about two more days on the doxy but the body pain and numbness is still there and strong. It s getting scary especially feeling numb.

Hi,

You need to get sugar levels done alongside thyroid profile as well as levels of B12 folic acid and D3 levels for work up of peripheral neuropathy. Also, if symptoms persist cervical and lumbar spine X-rays and work up with nerve conduction studies may be needed. Otherwise supplements for B12 folic acid and D3 can be started.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
