Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband is complaining of tingling and numbness on the left side of his face along with his left eye dropping. This comes and goes. More prominent in the evening. He also has ringing in his ears. Pulses and BP on both arms equal, no slurring of speech. He has history of depressed immune system, fibromyalgia, compressed discs in lower back and numerous concussions over 40 years from gymnastics and MVAs. Not sure how to help him.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, Thanks for the query. I understand your concern. All the symptoms your husband are suggestive of nurological symptoms...Cause can be long standing diabetes /cervical rib or vertebral or disc problem causing nerve compression or pinching after the long time exertion of the day or wrong relaxing posture in evening. The sole management consists of keeping blood sugar in control / looking for exact site of problem by MRI of CT scan of cervical spine &followed by specific management as advised by spinal surgeon. ( medicines ,physiotherapy ,local steroid injection or surgery as per need). You should consult your family physicisn and refferal to orthopedic spinal surgeon as per need . Specific cause detection &specific managemrnt would make lis life normsl.. pl.don't be tence. Thanks
