What Causes Numbness And Tingling Sensation Behind The Neck?

I have a numbness, tingling feeling starting in the back of my neck and moving up the back of my head. I ve never had this kind of headache before. No fever, no swollen lymph nodes, and no body aching. I do have a toothache. Could a toothache be causing the discomfort? I have taken Advil and Excedrine at different times today, but the tingling and numbness is still present.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
If you do not have cervical spondylitis... such numbness & headache ... such pain can be due to infected.. swllen tooth causing pressure on local nerve in mandibular region... reffered to neck &back.
Antibiotic &anti inflammatory course would relieve. Consult a dentist.
Thanks.
