What Causes Numbness And Tingling Sensation In Hand?
I am a 57-year-old female who is having trouble with numbness and tingling in both my pinky and ring finger of my right hand. This is accompanied by pain to mostly my elbow and /or my upper outer arm. It is made worse while I am driving and/or using the computer. This is relieved when I move my head/neck. What could be the cause?
Tingling and numbness are symptoms of nerve compression. Your symptoms relieved by movement of head and neck.
So the possibility of nerve root compression at the cervical spine level is more likely. So better to consult an orthopaedic doctor and get done a clinical examination and x-ray, MRI of the cervical spine.
You may need a cervical collar with physiotherapy for improvement. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
