What Causes Numbness And Tingling Sensation In Leg?

Hi doctor, my boyfriend cut his leg down to the shin bone. He didn t get stitches because he went to the doc too late. He had a bandaid on it for 24 hours, then went. But now he has numbness and tingling in his leg. Only pain when touched. What do you think?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Numbness and tingling in leg could be due to various reasons like vitamin B12 and folic acid deficiency or could be due to injury to nerves in leg. I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment of the leg wound to ascertain the probable cause of numbness and tingling.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
