What Causes Numbness And Tingling Sensation In The Hand?

I m a 38 year old woman with one child. I smoke & have high blood pressure. Lately I have been waking up with both of my hands tingly from numbness. And either both or one of my hands will go numb or start tingling just out of the blue several times a day for a few days, stop for a day or so, & so on. Now the same feelings are starting to happen in my feet. What does this sound like to you?

Hello
Welcome to health care magic.
I have gone through your question very diligently and I really appreciate your concern.

Tingling sensation in hand and feet might be related to high blood pressure, thromboangitans obliterans ( more prevalent in smokers), Hypocalcemia, hypothyroidism and many other causes.

I would advise you to keep a record of blood pressure and make a chart, please upload me the chart for further clarification.

I would advise you for a battery of investigation like CBC, ESR, blood sugar, Liver function test, serum calcium and vitamin D estimation test, thyroid function test, kidney function test and urine microscopy.

Meanwhile I would advise you to take multivitamin supplement and calcium daily for 10-15 days.

Hope you will find my answer informative and useful, please feel free to ask for follow up question I will gladly answer you.
Best wishes
