What Causes Numbness And Tingling Sensation In The Left Bicep Region?

I have been having numbness/tingling in my left bicep for at least a week. It sometimes also affects my left thumb and nearest two fingers. It is getting more frequent and the bicep numbness was getting worse last night during Yoga when I pressed my lower back into my mat while laying flat on my back. I just want to make sure none of these are Stroke warnings and wonder if it is just Carpel Tunnel ? YYYY@YYYY

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
No need to worry for stroke.
Possibility of nerve root compression at spinal level is more likely.
Your pain, numbness increases on specific position and movement. This is characteristic of nerve root compression.
So consult orthopedic doctor and get done x ray of cervical and dorsal spine.
You may need physiotherapy, stretching exercises, ultrasound applications to relieve compression.
You can take pregabalin for numbness and pain.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
