What Causes Numbness And Tingling Sensation On Left Side Of Head And Ear?
3 weeks now I feel numbness and tingling on left side of head, from above ear, down ear and neck. But not all the time. Today woke up to feeling numb, on neck under all around the front. And on left side of head all of face and very top front of head. What can this be? 2010, I had some issues where the right side of my face and over eye went numb. Still is just guess I am use to it. But sometimes I really feel like pressure on that side

There are different possible causes including: (1) vitamin b12 or folate deficiency
(2)diabetes
(3)infection such as herpes viral infection
(4)trauma to the area
(5)liver or kidney disease
(6)side effect of medication
(7)exposure to toxins
(8)idiopathic- cause is not known
(9) some hormonal conditions, also some autoimmune disease
It would be best to see a doctor for assessment. This would involve physical examination for face to see if it is possible to determine the likely nerves involved.
Nerve conduction tests and blood tests may also be needed. Blood tests to check for diabetes, vitamin levels, hormonal diseases.
There are medications that can help with nerve related discomfort or abnormal sensations.
