What Causes Numbness Around Scalp And Neck After A Neck Injury?
Hi I had head and neck injury a few days ago. I was hit on top of my head by metal gate. I went to the er & was diagnosed with head trauma & whip lash. The doctor took X-ray of neck but no scans of head because I didn t exhibit neurological symptoms. I had a lot of tingling in my head & warm sensation. And had weakness & pain in my neck for a few days. Now I feel like I have a numb feeling around the whole top of my scalp & my neck still hurts a lot. Should I be concerned enough to return to er for ct scan or just follow up with PC next week?

Tingling sensation could be to compression of the nerves secondary to the injury. I suggest you to consult a neurologist for clinical assessment, investigations and thus management.
