What Causes Numbness In Feet Of A Diabetic Patient?
I have type one Diabetis and have had numbness in my feet. For the last 2 days and night I have had spasm like pain on the top of myright foot. Asperin does not help It just keepscoming and going every 30 seconds or so.. What could it be and what can I do?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Tingling, Numbness, Burning sensation (especially in the evening) and Pain are symptoms of damage to the peripheral nerves called neuropathy in persons with diabetes mellitus. You need to be assessed for the type of damage that could have been caused along with strict measures to control you blood glucose levels. You can be treated with multi-vitamin capsules and anti-oxidant compounds, which would help to improve the situation and prevent further deterioration by preventing the damage. Kindly consult Diabetologist or Physician in this regard for appropriate evaluation and management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
