What Causes Numbness In Finger While On Splint?
I just got stitches on my index finger right on the middle bend I already took the pain medication (tylenol with codeine) but it still hurts and I haven t been able to feel feel my fingertip is there anything I can do about it? I have a splint on but it makes the numbness in my fingertip worse.

I have understand your concern
numbness in the finger distal to the splint is due to compression of sensory nerve by the splint
at present no need to worry about it , it is not going to be permanent damage
once you remove the splint it ll recover slowly
meanwhile you have to do movements of the finger everyday to prevent the stiffness
no other medications required
