What Causes Numbness In Fingers, Feet And Legs While Having Elevated Liver Enzymes?

My friend has elevated liver enzymes and is throwing up everyday. She is in the process with her doctor of running tests to figure out exactly what is wrong with her. They recently did upper G.I. same day sabout a week ago to run more tests. The problem is that about two weeks ago her fingers and feet and legs suddenly feel numb. She told her doctor but they never told her anything. Do you know why she is having this problem with numbness?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Numbness can occur be due to neuropathy which is abnormal structure or function of the nerves.
This can occur with liver disease, it is one of the possible symptoms.

This means that the liver problem she is experiencing is likely the cause of the numbness as well.

I hope this helps
