What Causes Numbness In Hands At Night And Terrible Neck Pain?

I ve been taking 5mg of Crestor for about 4-5 years. I ve been having terrible neck and arm muscle pain that it keeps me awake at night. Also, my hands go numb during the night and have started going numb during the day. Could it be that these are newly arriving side effects of the Crestor?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome.

Yes Crestor can have such side effects, but for these side effects to appear this late is a little unlikely. I would first recommend a blood panel including a check on your vitamin B12 and vitamin D levels among other parameters to be checked. Once these parameters (if) they return a normal result we can assume these to be side effects of Crestor.

But if we find any abnormalities we should correct them and then look to see if the symptoms are still present.

Best wishes
