Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Numbness In Left Arm And Bumps Under Left Armpit?
Hello,I am 23 years old and this is my second day with numbness in my left arm. Its numb and tingling and it feels like a tight pain as if I need to stretch it out. Also my fingertips are extremely cold. Not sure if there is any correlation but I also have 3 dime size balls under my left armpit that don t hurt and have been there for several months now. Medical history:pancreatic cancer that was benign and no need or chemo or radiation.
I can understand your concern. The dime sized swellings under the armpits could be the specific reason of your numbness symptoms. They could be cysts or tumors pinching on the nerve that supplies your arm causing numbness.
I would advise you to visit your physician for physical examination of the swellings and go for blood tests, x-ray and probably MRI to find out what they really are. They may require management with medicines or surgery.
I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you speedy recovery from your symptoms.
Best, Dr. Viraj Shah
