Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Numbness In Left Hand While Having High BP?
I have high blood pressure I take my meds .I wasn t the best at taking them regularly but I do now.Lately within the last few weeks I feel a numbness/tinglely feeling in my left hand that won t go away there is history of diebeties and high blood pressure in my family. What is that will I be ok.
I understand that this cannot be related to high blood pressure. because if it's due to high blood pressure than it must start the pain from the shoulder and not only in the wrist and hand.
This might be related to neuropathy and needs a proper physical examination.
Also, you need to get the assessment of the cervical spine as the pain you spoke which is tingling in nature so we may need an MRI of the neck.
Just get hold of the Orthopedist and get it examined. Most cases respond well with proper and timely intervention.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
