General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
It is not clear from your question which medication you have been taking for numbness and pain. Therefore, I cannot comment on whether it is safe to continue taking the medication until your next appointment.
The feeling of numbness in the shoulder, arm, and fingers can have multiple etiology such as nerve compression, injury to the nerves, poor blood flow, chronic comorbid such as diabetes and hypertension, B12 deficiency or a side effect of chronic medication. In order to attain proper diagnosis, get an examination done by a health care professional such as a neurologist for further evaluation.
Hope I have answered your query. Kindly reach out incase of further queries.
Thanks.
