What Causes Numbness In Left Side Of Face?

Yes, I have had numbness on the left side of my face (lips, mouth side of nose, and above my eye) for three weeks. Also, pins and needles up and down my legs and arms and flare ups in my face. I ve had 2 MRI s, tons of blood work, EKG s, the list goes on and on. All the Dr.s are telling me this is anxiety induced. I have had some stressful things happen in the last month but everything is fine now. If this is an anxiety, shouldn t my body be back to normal now that I m not stressed? How long does this numbness usually last? I m very worried. Otherwise, feeling fine. Also, I ve seen a neurologist 2 times.

Thank you for asking!
Usually such facial numbness indicates a facial nerve palsy but as the work up has ruled any organic pathology for it, i am sure anxiety and stress is the explanation to it. Get some neurotonic and vitamin supplements, and stay in touch with your psychotherapist for anxiety profile management. If the problem persists which i am sure it won't then we will seek a neurologist and dig deeper.
Take care
