What Causes Numbness In Legs From Knees To Toes Along With Chills?

Fell down the stairs two days ago and they said I sprained my ankle. Went to my primary today and she said I needed an second opinion. I iced my foot this afternoon at 12:40 it is now 4pm and my knee all the way to my toes are completely numb and freezing cold. Do I need to go to the hospital?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It would be best to see someone.

Decreased temperature and numbness should not be still present after applying cold compress hours before for only a few minutes.

It may or may not indicate problems with the nerve supply or circulation.

This can be determined on physical examination and imaging.

I hope this helps
